Carl Junction Marching Festival

Our first competition is upon us and will be at the Carl Junction Marching Festival on Saturday, September 18! The schedule is as follows:


11:00 a.m. – Arrive at the high school and report to the band room to load

(EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE or bring snacks for the ride that will not dehydrate you)

11:45 p.m. – Load the buses and trailers

12:00 p.m. – Depart to Carl Junction

12:40 p.m. – Arrive in Carl Junction, check-in, unload, and immediately get into uniform

2:30 p.m. – Warm-Up/Tune

3:00 p.m. – Move to staging area

3:30 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE PRELIM PERFORMANCE!!!

3:45 p.m. – Clinic

(after our clinic we will get out of uniform go back and watch awards)


5:00 p.m. – Awards presentation (top ten bands will move on to finals)

(depending on whether we make finals, and our finals placement, we will decide when we will eat dinner)


7-9:30 p.m. – FINALS PERFORMANCES

9:45 p.m. – Finals Awards

10:10 p.m. – Load buses and trailers

10:30 p.m.’ish’– Depart

11:00 p.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.


What you need to bring: your band shirt, black athletic shorts, long black socks, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, marching shoes, gloves, and any money you may want for concessions.


If we do not make finals then we will eat and depart. If we do make finals then our dinner will be determined after our placement is announced. Dinner will be Chick-Fil-A, chips, and a drink. We are looking for cookies, pop, fruit, and water to be donated. Concessions will also be available.


This performance will be held at Carl Junction High School, 1 Bull Dog Ln., Carl Junction, MO. Admission to the competition is $5 for adults and $3 for school-age children, 6 and under free.


Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
