We are heading into our second full week of band camp, and we have a lot to accomplish! It’s going to be a busy and exciting week as we prepare for our first public performance of the 2026 season at the Wildcat Kickoff this Saturday, August 15th. Full Band Camp Begins
Band Camp begins next week, and we are excited to get everyone back together! Schedule Monday - (Freshmen, ALL Leadership, ALL Percussion, & ALL Color Guard) 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM We will begin in the high school band room at 8:30 AM. Tuesday–Friday (FULL Band) 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM We will begin Tuesday in the high school band room at 8:30 AM. First Camps Begin
Hello Band Families! This is a reminder that Leadership Camp, Percussion Camp, and Color Guard Camp begin next week! End of the Band Year Dates
We are getting to the end of not just the school year, but also the band year. Here are some important reminders of dates to conclude the year: Monday April 27: Incoming 6th Grade Band Meeting @5pm & 6:30pm in the MS Band Room If you are the parent of a current 5th grader who would like to join band then please attend one of these meetings. We will discuss the class as well as what instrument the student would play and how to go about getting an instrument. Tuesday April 28
State Solo/Ensemble Contest
State Solo/Ensemble Contest will be taking place Wednesday April 29 - Thursday April 30 at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. The schedule for the two day event is as follows: Wednesday Students will report to their classes and eat school lunch. 1:30 p.m. – Report to the band room, get equipment and load the bus 2:00 p.m. – Depart high school 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.’ish’ – Fast Food dinner stop (will need money) 7:45 p.m. – Arrive at Stony Creek Inn for check-in 9:30 p.m.

18th & Vine Jazz Festival
Our next jazz contest of the season is coming up! Our schedule for the 18th & Vine Jazz Festival, Thursday April 16th through Friday, April 17th is as follows: Thursday 8:15 a.m. – Load Bus 8:30 a.m. – Depart high school 9:45 a.m. (estimate) – Stop for restroom break 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Gates BBQ (provided) 12:45 p.m. – Arrive at the Gem Theater, check-in, unload STUDIO BAND 1:00 p.m. – Studio Band Warm-Up 1:30 p.m. – STUDIO BAND PERFORMANCE! 2:00 p.m. – Studio

Trip Date: April 09, 2026 Don't forget to dress for the concert! Black band shirts, dress pants, and dress shoes. Bring comfortable pants to skate in and socks for the skates!
