KC Symphony Trip
On Friday, October 27th students with the band and orchestra will be traveling to Kansas City to watch the KC Symphony in a dress rehearsal. Students going have already registered and paid for this trip. The schedule for the day is as follows:
6:45 a.m. – Report to the school, get on the bus, and take attendance
7:00 a.m. – Depart high school
9:30 a.m. – Arrive at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, get tickets, and get seated
10:00 a.m. – Rehearsal begins
11:15 a.m. ‘ish’ – Break – Q & A
11:30 a.m. – Rehearsal resumes
12:30 p.m. – Rehearsal concludes, load bus, get attendance, depart the Kauffman Center
1:00 p.m. – Arrive at Main Event – Food is included
3:30 p.m. – Depart Main Event
6:00 p.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and go home.
What you need to bring: We are attending a dress rehearsal for a professional performing ensemble in a nice venue. We will not be uniformed but should look nice. ‘Business casual’ is what would be suggested. Jeans are acceptable but should not be ripped. School appropriate clothing. At Main Event two pieces of pizza, pop, and various games of bowling and laser tag is included as well as $10 in arcade play. Students could bring money if there is anything further they would like to purchase.
