NEO Instrumental Music Festival

The NEO instrumental festival is upon us! Our schedule for Tuesday, April 4 is as follows:

8:15 a.m. – Load the bus

8:30 a.m. – Depart school for NEO

9:15 a.m. – Arrive at NEO, unload, check-in

10:00 a.m. – 8th Grade Band warm-up

10:30 a.m. – 8th GRADE BAND PERFORMS!!! (in the Ballroom)

10:45 a.m. – 8th Grade Band loads up the bus and 7th eats lunch in the cafeteria

will need money for food

11:00 a.m. – HS Jazz Ensemble warm-up

11:30 a.m. – NEOSHO JAZZ ENS PERFORMS!!! (in the Recital Room)

11:45 a.m. – Jazz Ens. loads bus, and then eats lunch in cafeteria with 8th grade band

will need money for food

12:30 p.m. – 7th Grade Band warm-up

1:00 p.m. – 7th GRADE BAND PERFORMS!!! (in the Ballroom)

1:30 p.m. – Load the bus and depart for Neosho

2:30 p.m.(ish) – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and return to class.

What you need to bring: your instrument, music, concert clothes, as well as all sticks/mallets, reeds, valve oil/cork grease, etc. In addition, you will need money to eat lunch in the campus cafeteria (approximately $5-$10).

WHAT TO WEAR?

Boys - black dress slacks (NO JEANS, SHORTS, nor CARGO PANTS), Black dress shoes (NO TENNIS SHOES), black socks, black belt as well as a white collared dress shirt (no writing on shirt or under shirt). Black tie and jacket is optional.

Girls - black dress pants, black dress, or black skirt (knee length or longer) with a white blouse or white dress top. Dress shoes. Heel is okay (3” or less), but prefer flats as we move around campus.

Remember, you are representing yourself, the band, the school, and all of Neosho! Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Please conduct yourselves accordingly at each location!
