MSU Jazz Festival

Our second jazz contest of the season is coming up! Our schedule for the Missouri State Jazz Festival Saturday, February 21 is as follows:

6:45 a.m. – Arrive at the school and load the buses

7:00 a.m. – Depart Neosho

8:15 a.m. – Arrive at MSSU, check-in, and unload

8:30 a.m. – Stage Band Warm-Up WBH124

9:30 a.m. - Stage Band Performance Hammons Hall

10:00 a.m. - Stage Band Clinic HHPA305

10:45 a.m. - Lunch at MSU provided by the band boosters

12:00 p.m. - Studio Band Warm-Up WBH124

12:15 p.m. - MSU Jazz Studies 2 Performance Hammons Hall

1:00 p.m. - Studio Band Performance Hammons Hall

1:30 p.m. - Studio Band Clinic HHPA305

2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Watch Bands

4:30 p.m. - Depart for dinner

6:30 p.m. - Brian Lynch Clinic

7:30 p.m. - Awards Ceremony & Closing Concert w/ MSU Jazz Studies 1

8:30 p.m. - Depart MSU

9:45 p.m. - Return to Neosho unload, and go home

The performance is at Hammons Hall at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. 525 S John Q Hammons Pkwy. Springfield, MO 65806.  This event is open to the public and free of charge.

What you need to bring: your ALL BLACK dress clothes, your instrument, mouthpiece, mallets, sticks, reeds, money for dinner.  Bring something to snack on if you will get hungry during the ride there or back.

Please eat breakfast before arriving.  Lunch will be pizza provided by the boosters.  We plan to go to the mall for dinner.  Bring money for dinner.

Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
