This is a busy month of band events.

December 5-6th: All-State Band Auditions.  Students received their trip itinerary with more specific information.  They will be departing the high school this Friday at 12:30pm and will be back Saturday evening.

December 6th: Neosho Christmas Parade.  The band will meet in the Solomon's Dance Studio parking lot. The band is number 4 in the parade.  The parade begins at 5pm.  Students will need to be to Solomon's parking lot by 4:30 with their instrument dressed warm and festive.  No decorations on their instrument.  The band room will be open by 3pm for students to pickup their instrument to then head down to the parade lineup.

December 9th: MS Beginner Band Concert.  The concert begins at 6pm in the Middle School Gym. Students will need to report to the band room by 5:15pm with their instrument and music and ideally dressed up (We suggest boys to be in collared shirts and dress pants. Could wear knitted sweaters, or a tie, or jacket. Ladies could wear dress pants or skirt with a blouse, or a dress. Skirts and dresses should be knee-length or longer when seated. We suggest dress shoes or polo shoes for boys, and dressy flats for girls (heals could be problematic for middle school girls walking on a gym floor). We look forward to the students' first band performance. This should be a short and fun concert showcasing all the progress and work the students have done so far this year.

December 11th: JH/HS Bands Winter Concert.  The concert begins at 6pm in the Freeman Health System Performing Arts Center.  Students should report to the band room by 5:30 in their concert black/white.

Men-black dress slacks with a white button down collared shirt (tucked in), black socks, and black dress shoes.

Ladies-black dress pants and a white blouse, black skirt and a white blouse, or a black dress.  Skirts and dresses should be knee-length or longer when seated, with dressy shoes (prefer black flats or short 3" or less heal).

December 13th:  The Winter Formal was scheduled for this evening.  With the addition of this event, we have decided to not participate in the Goodman Christmas Parade as previously scheduled this year to allow students time to enjoy the Winter Formal and not feel rushed.

December 16th:  JH/HS Bands Winter Jazz Concert.  The concert begins at 6pm in the Freeman Health System Performing Arts Center.  Students should report to the band room by 5:30pm in ALL BLACK dress clothes.

In additionPercussion Club will meet Wednesdays this month from 3:30-5pm and Color Guard Club will meet Thursdays this month from 3:30-5:30pm both in the high school band room.

Students also are signing up for solos, small ensembles, and PepCats.

We will plan some holiday band parties the last week of the semester for each school too.
