Maple Leaf Festival

Our fourth competition is upon us and will be the Maple Leaf Field Show Competition on Saturday, October 18th!  The schedule is as follows:

9:00 a.m.  – On the field of the endzone facility for a short rehearsal

10:00 a.m.  – Short break (grab something to eat)

11:15 a.m.  – Return to the high school, Load the buses and trailers (please eat before arriving)

12:00 p.m. – Depart to Carthage, MO

12:45 p.m. – Arrive at Carthage HS, check-in, unload, & immediately get into uniform

1:35 p.m. –  Warm-Up/Tune

2:25 p.m. – Move to staging area

2:30 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE PRELIM PERFORMANCE!!!

(after our performance we will head back to the bus, get out of uniform, and return to the stadium to watch awards)

4:15 p.m. – Awards presentation (all bands will move on to finals)

(depending on our draw, the schedule could fluctuate)

5:00 p.m. – Meal provided to students at the buses

6:00-9:15 p.m. – FINALS PERFORMANCES

9:45 p.m. – Finals awards.  

10:15 p.m. – Load buses and trailers

11:00 p.m.’ish’ – Depart

11:45 p.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.

What you need to bring: your band shirt, black athletic shorts, black socks, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, sabres, marching shoes, gloves, and any money you may want for concessions.  Also, you may want a change of clothes/jacket for watching bands during the evening.  

If we do not make finals then we will depart after dinner.  Dinner will be hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies, and a drink.  We are looking for buns, cookies, pop, and water to be donated.  Concessions will also be available for students to get food on their own. 

This performance will be held at Carthage High school– 2600 S. River St. / Carthage, MO 64836.  Admission to the competition is $10 for adults, $8 for 65 and older, and $5 for all K-12 students.  Admission charge is good for both prelims and finals. 

Be courteous to other groups and to each other!  Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
