State Band Assessment

Our Missouri State Large Group Band Assessment is on Monday, April 7th. Our location for that event is at Webb City High School.  We have three groups that will be assessed that day.  Our Percussion Orchestra, our Concert Band, and our Symphonic Band.  We will have some varied schedules for the morning regarding departure and performance times.  Their lunch and return will be together.  The schedule for Monday, April 7th is as follows:

PERCUSSION ORCHESTRA

7:15am Percussion Orchestra arrive at the school and load the bus

7:45am Percussion Orchestra Depart High School

8:15am Arrive at Webb City High School / check-In and unload

8:30am Percussion Orchestra Warm-Up

8:55am Percussion Orchestra Performance

After our performance we will gather our equipment and join our ensembles arriving shortly

ALL REMAINING BAND STUDENTS

1st Hour as normal

8:45am Load the bus and depart the HS

9:15am Arrive at Webb City High School / check-in and unload

9:55am Concert Band Warm-Up

10:20am Concert Band Performance

10:45am Concert Band Sight-Reading

10:45am Symphonic Band Warm-Up

11:10am Symphonic Band Performance

11:35am Symphonic Band Sight-Reading

ALL STUDENTS

12:00pm All students load buses and trailer

12:15pm Depart for lunch

12:30pm Fast food lunch (will need money)

1:30pm Concert Band depart for school

2:00pm Return, unload bus, return to class

What you need to bring: your instrument, music in a black binder with your clean name plate inside, concert clothes, as well as all sticks/mallets, reeds, valve oil/cork grease, etc. (money for lunch)

WHAT TO WEAR? Students without proper attire may be left behind

Boys - black dress slacks (NO JEANS, SHORTS, nor CARGO PANTS), Black dress shoes (NO TENNIS SHOES), black socks, black belt as well as a white collared dress shirt (no writing on shirt or undershirt).   No patterns.  Black tie and jacket are optional.

Girls - black dress pants, black dress, or black skirt (knee length or longer) with a white blouse or white dress top.  Dress shoes.  Heels are okay (3” or less), but prefer flats as we move around.

Remember, you are representing yourself, the band, the school, and all of Neosho! Be courteous to other groups and to each other!  Please conduct yourselves accordingly at each location!
