BOA Regional-Dallas 2

Our final competition of the season is coming up! Our schedule for the BOA North Texas Regional 2 Friday, October 14 through Saturday, October 15 is as follows:


7:55 a.m. – Report to the band room to load, bag inspection will be done during 1st hour

9:00 a.m. – Depart high school

11:30 - 12:30 p.m.’ish’ – Stop for fast food lunch break (lunch will be on your own)

4:30 p.m. – Arrive at the Deep Ellum neighborhood for sight-seeing and light shopping

5:30 p.m. – Depart Deep Ellum

6:00 p.m. – Arrive at Adventure Landing (Dinner Provided)

8:00 p.m. – Depart Adventure Landing

8:30 p.m. – Arrive at Comfort Suites (downtime, there is a pool, as well as other people staying there)

10:00 p.m. – Students report to their rooms for inspection

10:30 p.m. – Lights Out


7:30 a.m. – Wake up, get ready, and eat breakfast (provided at the hotel)

9:30 a.m. – Check-out and load the bus

9:45 a.m. – Depart hotel

10:20 a.m. – Arrive at Prosper ISD, check-in, unload, and get into uniform

11:40 a.m. - 12:25 p.m. – Band Warm-up (different schedules for different sections TBA)

12:35 p.m. – Band report to gate


1:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. – Pictures, load, then return to the stadium as a group and watch bands perform.

Consider eating concessions when watching bands at this time as well

4:45 p.m. – Awards presentation

(depending on whether we make finals, and our finals placement, we will decide when we will eat dinner)

7:30-10:30 p.m. – FINALS PERFORMANCES

10:45 p.m.’ish’ – Finals Awards presentation

We will send text alerts on when we will return. If we do not make finals, then we will eat dinner (provided) and then depart. If we do make finals then we will depart shortly after the awards presentation. Could be back as early as 12:30am and as late as 6am.

The hotel we are staying at Friday night is the Comfort Suites, 9700 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX, (972) 668-9700. Chaperones and teachers will be on site. Rooms will be checked and doors will be taped by lights out.

The performance is at Prosper ISD Children’s Health Stadium– 2000 Stadium Dr., Prosper, TX 75078. The box office at the stadium will open at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday. General admission ticket prices for prelims and finals are $25 for each session or a day pass is $40 if purchased online. At the stadium each price is $7 more ($32 and $47 respectively). What you need to bring: your uniform, gloves, shoes, black socks, black athletic shorts, your band shirt, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, money for concessions/meals/etc., clothes to change into, an overnight bag, extra pillows and blankets if you prefer for sleep, swimsuit if you intend to swim in the short time available at the hotel to do so, etc. Bring something to snack on if you will get hungry during the ride there or back. The boosters will also provide a snack bag for this trip as well as a snack for Saturday right after our performance.

Breakfast Saturday, and dinner Friday and Saturday will be provided. Students will need money for lunch both Friday and lunch Saturday. Friday will be a fast food stop, and Saturday will be at the stadium.

Be courteous to other groups and to each other over this two-day event! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
