PSU Mid-American Music Festival
The Mid-America instrumental music festival is upon us! Our schedule for Saturday, April, 22nd is as follows:
10:30 a.m. – Report to school and load the bus
10:45 a.m. – Depart school for PSU
12:00 p.m. – Arrive at PSU, unload, and check-in
12:20 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. Neosho Performances (individual schedule is posted below this letter)
3:50 p.m. – Load the bus and depart for Neosho
5:05 p.m. – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and head home.
What you need to bring: your instrument, music, concert clothes, as well as all sticks/mallets, reeds, valve oil/cork grease, etc. In addition, you will need money to eat lunch at the Student Center (approximately $5-$10), or can bring snacks/food to eat.
Practice rooms are located in various locations at McCray Hall, Grubbs Hall, and the Governor’s Lounge in the Overman Student Center. You should warm-up about 30-45 minutes before your performance time. Show up to your performance room 10-15 minutes before your performance time ready to perform. When not performing, you should support your fellow band members by watching their performances.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Boys-dress slacks (NO JEANS, SHORTS, or CARGO PANTS), Dress shoes (NO TENNIS SHOES) with a belt to match your shoes, as well as a dress shirt (no writing on shirt or under shirt). Tie and jacket is optional.
Girls-dress pants, dress, or skirt (knee length or longer) with a blouse or dress top. Dress shoes. Heel is okay (3” or less).
Remember, you are representing yourself, the band, the school, and all of Neosho! Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Please conduct yourselves accordingly at each location!
