MSU Jazz Festival
Our jazz contest season is now underway and our first contest will be the MSU jazz festival next Friday, February 21st. The itinerary and information is below:

9:00 AM - Depart Neosho HS

10:45 AM - Warmup Wehr Band Hall #124
11:30 AM - Perform Wehr Band Hall
12:00 PM - Clinic Wehr Band Hall #125
After Stage Band Performs - Studio Band & Jazz Combo Lunch
When Studio Band returns - Stage Band Lunch

1:15 PM - Warmup Loading Dock
2:00 PM - Perform Hammons Hall Main Stage
2:30 PM - Clinic Hammons #305

Dress: ALL BLACK DRESS CLOTHES - No jeans, no tennis shoes, no tee shirts, no sequins/bow ties/bolo ties etc. Black socks gentlemen.
Lunch & Dinner:
Students will need money for fast food meals. Lunch will be at the student union on campus, and dinner we will bus off campus They are welcome to pack a meal as well. Students may want to bring snacks for the bus ride there and back.
Etiquette: Please be good ambassadors for the Neosho Band Program. Be humble, complimentary of others, and please… no phones out during performances or the clinic! Please DO cheer and clap for things you like in performances. Jazz is about community and having a good time. Be very receptive during the clinics!
Equipment: Double check that you have your music, instrument, mouthpiece, reeds/accessories, cords, etc. NO EXCUSES!!!
Rhythm Section: Bring everything except some vibes. Check on all gear before leaving Neosho and MSU.
* No equipment is supplied at the warm up rooms.
Parent Check-Out: Parents must sign you out in person with a director if you are not returning to Neosho on the bus!
