KC Championships

Our second competition is upon us and will be at the KC Championships on Saturday, September 23rd! The schedule is as follows:

10:00 a.m. – Rehearsal in the End Zone Facility

12:00 p.m. – Lunch on your own

1:15 p.m. – Return to the high school, Load the buses and trailers

2:00 p.m. – Depart to Blue Springs, MO (longer trip, plan accordingly)

4:45 p.m. – Arrive in Blue Springs, check-in, unload, and immediately get into uniform

6:25 p.m. – Warm-Up/Tune

7:20 p.m. – Move to staging area

7:30 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE PERFORMANCE!!!

(after our performance we will get out of uniform, load, and watch the remaining bands)

10:30 p.m. – Awards presentation

11:15 p.m. – Load buses and trailers

11:30 p.m.’ish’ – Depart

2:15 a.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload the bus, and trailer.

What you need to bring: your band shirt, black athletic shorts, black socks, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, sabres, marching shoes, gloves, and any money you may want for concessions. Also, you may want a change of clothes/jacket for watching bands during the evening.

The meal will be sub sandwiches, chips, snacks, and a drink. These will be distributed to be eaten on the bus about an hour out from Blue Springs. We are looking for cookies, fruit cups, pop, water, and brown paper sacks to be donated for that event. Concessions will also be available for students to get food on their own after our performance. With this being a longer trip, students may also want to bring their own snacks that will not dehydrate them for the bus.

This performance will be held at Blue Springs South High School – 1200 SE Adams Dairy Pkwy, Blue Springs, MO. Admission to the competition is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 (5 and under are free).

Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
