Valhalla Schedule
Our third competition is upon us and will be at the Valhalla Marching Festival on Saturday, October, 5! The schedule is as follows:
8:45 a.m. – Arrive at the high school and report to the practice field for a short rehearsal
(EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE)
9:45 a.m. – Load the buses and trailers
10:15 a.m. – Depart to Parkview
11:45 a.m. – Arrive in Parkview, check-in, unload, and immediately get into uniform
12:55 p.m. – Warm-Up/Tune
1:25 p.m. – Move to staging area
1:45 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE PRELIM PERFORMANCE!!!
(after our performance we will get out of uniform and return to the stadium to watch bands)
5:00 p.m. – Awards presentation - 4 class winners and remaining top twelve bands will move on to finals
(we will plan dinner after awards, but that may change if we make finals and have an early time drawn)
6-9:30 p.m. – FINALS PERFORMANCES
9:45 p.m. – Finals Awards
10:10 p.m. – Load buses and trailers
10:30 p.m.’ish’ – Depart
12:00 a.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.
What you need to bring: your band shirt, black athletic shorts, long black socks, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, sabres marching shoes, gloves, and any money you may want for concessions.
If we do not make finals then we will eat and depart. If we do make finals then our dinner will be determined after our placement is announced. Dinner will be grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, fruit, cookie and a drink. We are looking for chips, cookies, pop, fruit, hamburger/hotdog buns, and water to be donated. Concessions will also be available.
This performance will be held at Parkview High School, 516 W. Meadowmere, Springfield, MO. Admission to the competition is $10 for adults and $8 for children 8th grade and under.
Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
