State Large Group

The Missouri State Large Group Contest is upon us! Our schedule for Monday, April 8 is as follows:

11:30 ALL Band and Orchestra student eat first lunch. Then get instrument, music, and load the bus.

12:00 Depart High School

12:30 Arrive at Webb City HS check-In and unload

1:00 Orchestra Warm-Up

1:25 ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE!!!

1:50 Orchestra Sight-Reading

1:50 Symphonic Band Warm-Up

2:15 SYMPHONIC BAND PERFORMANCE!!!

2:40 Symphonic Band Sight-Reading

2:51 Concert Band warm-up

3:16 CONCERT BAND PERFORMANCE!!!

3:41 Concert Band Sight-Reading

4:00 Load the bus and depart for Neosho

4:30’ish’ Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and then head home.

What you need to bring: your instrument, music, concert clothes, as well as all sticks/mallets, reeds, valve oil/cork grease, etc. In addition, you will need money to eat lunch at the food court in the mall.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Boys - black dress slacks (NO JEANS, SHORTS, nor CARGO PANTS), Black dress shoes (NO TENNIS SHOES), black socks, black belt as well as a white collared dress shirt (no writing on shirt or under shirt). Black tie and jacket is optional.

Girls - black dress pants, black dress, or black skirt (knee length or longer) with a white blouse or white dress top. Dress shoes. Heel is okay (3” or less), but prefer flats as we move around.

Remember, you are representing yourself, the band, the school, and all of Neosho! Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Please conduct yourselves accordingly at each location!
