January Schedule

Students report back to school tomorrow and we have lots going on right away in January. Here are just a few main things to take note of:

Thursday, Jan 3 - Band Booster Meeting @6pm in the high school band room. Parents of band students 6-12 please attend.

Friday, Jan 4 - HS Band/Orchestra money due for KC Symphony Trip traveling at the end of the month.

Monday Jan 7 - 8th grade/HS Percussion Prep 3:30-5pm @HS band room. All 8th grade and HS percussionists please attend to begin work on preparations for next year. This will be regularly scheduled on Mondays thereafter throughout the 2nd semester.

Tuesday - Thursday Jan 8-10 - HS Chair Auditions

Friday Jan 11 - JH District Honor Band Auditions AND HS HB rehearsal. Report to the JH @3:30pm to travel to Joplin HS for auditions beginning at 5pm. After students audition they can have a parent sign them out with a director or travel back on the bus between 9-10pm.

Saturday Jan 12 - HS District HB and Conference Band Clinic/Concert. Students who made these ensembles should report to the high school at 8am to travel to Joplin HS.

Saturday Jan 19 - JH District HB Clinic/Concert and HS Jazz Clinic/Concert. Students who made these ensembles should report to the high school at 8am to travel to Webb City HS.

Friday Jan 25 - KC Symphony Trip. HS Students going on this trip should report to the HS band room at 6:30am to travel to KC.

Friday Jan 25 - HS Pepcats Basketball Homecoming. All students in both black and gold bands as well as Jazz Ensemble.

Tuesday Jan 29 - 8th Grade Band Night at the HS Basketball game. 8th grade students should report to the JH at 4:45 to load the bus to go to the HS. 8th grade band shirt and blue jeans needed for this performance. ALL HS marching students and Jazz Ensemble students will be performing at this event.
