State Large Group Contest

On Tuesday, April 10th the Symphonic and Concert Bands will be traveling to Webb City to participate in the MSHSAA Large Group Contest. Our schedule is as follows:

7:30 a.m. – Report to HS Band Room

7:45 a.m. – Load Buses and trailers and depart Neosho

8:15 a.m. – Arrive at Webb City High School and unload

8:25 a.m. – Concert Band warm-up and tune

8:50 a.m. – Concert Band PERFORMANCE!!!

9:30 a.m. – Percussion Orchestra warm-up

9:45 a.m. – Percussion Orchestra PERFORMANCE!!!

10:16 a.m. – Symphonic Band warm-up and tune

10:41 a.m. – Symphonic Band PERFORMANCE!!!

11:06 a.m. – String Orchestra warm-up and tune

11:31 a.m. – String Orchestra PERFORMANCE!!!

12:25 – After the String Orchestra sight-reading we will load the trailers and buses and depart for lunch

• Lunch at the North Park Mall -- Bring $$$

2:00 p.m.(ish) – Arrive in Neosho

Your uniform for this event will be:

BOYS-black slacks, black shoes, black belt, black socks, and a white collared shirt

GIRLS-black pants or skirt ‘knee length or longer when sitting’, black shoes, and a white blouse or black dress, ‘knee length or longer when sitting’.

Not having the proper uniform may affect your participation on the trip.

In addition, you will need your instrument, mouthpiece, extra reeds, mallets, sticks, etc. We will be stopping for a fast-food lunch. Students will need to bring $$$

Remember, you are representing the band department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly! Be courteous and respectful to other groups and to each other!
