Jazz @ the Junction

Our schedule for Jazz at the Junction is as follows:

3:30 p.m. – Load the bus

3:45 p.m. – Depart high school for Carl Junction

4:15 p.m. – Arrive at Carl Junction, check-in and immediately unload the bus.

4:55 p.m. – Jazz Ensemble Warm-Up

5:20 p.m. – NEOSHO JAZZ ENSEMBLE PERFORMS!!!

5:45 p.m. – Jazz Ensemble Clinic

6:10 p.m. – Jazz Too Warm-Up

6:35 p.m. – NEOSHO JAZZ TOO PERFORMS!!!

7:00 p.m. – Jazz Too Clinic

7:20 – 8:40 p.m. – Eat, and watch other groups perform. Please be courteous

Dinner is on your own (bring money for concessions)

8:40 p.m. – JOMO Jazz Performs

9:00 p.m. – UMSL Jazz Performs

10:00 p.m. – Load the bus and depart for Neosho

10:30 p.m.(ish) – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and then head home.

What you need to bring: your instrument and music as well as all sticks/mallets, reeds, valve oil/cork grease, etc. You will need money to eat dinner. The Carl Junction Band Boosters will have a chili supper. $5 will get you chili a drink and dessert. They will also have additional snacks for sale.

WHAT TO WEAR?

‘GOOL GIG CLOTHES’

Boys-dress slacks (NO JEANS, SHORTS, nor CARGO PANTS), Dress shoes (NO TENNIS SHOES) with a belt to match your shoes, as well as a dress shirt (no writing on shirt or under shirt). Tie and jacket is optional.

Girls-dress pants, dress, or skirt (knee length or longer) with a blouse or dress top. Dress shoes. Heel is okay (3” or less).

Remember, you are representing yourself, the band, the school, and all of Neosho! Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Please conduct yourselves accordingly at each location!
