KC Championships
Our FINAL competition of 2015 will be the KC Championships on Saturday, October 24 at Blue Springs South High School in Blue Springs, MO! The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:15 a.m. – Meet at the high school, load the bus and trailers
8:45 a.m. – Depart high school (Not planning a stop, use bathroom before we leave)
12:00 p.m. – Arrive at Blue Springs South, check-in, and unload the trailer
12:30 p.m. – Change into Uniform
12:50 p.m. – Move to warm-up area
1:00 p.m. – Warm-up and Tune
1:45 p.m. – Move to performance staging area
1:50 p.m. – Report to gate
2:00 p.m. – NEOSHO WILDCAT PRIDE MARCHING BAND PERFORMS!
After our performance we will change out of uniform and eat a meal provided by the boosters
3:15-4:45p.m. – Watch remaining bands in preliminary competition
5:00 p.m. – Preliminary Awards (Drum Majors Only)
If we do not make finals, we will then eat a meal provided by the boosters and depart immediately following prelims.
Could arrive in Neosho 9:30.p.m.’ish’
6:10-9:45p.m. – Finals Warm-ups and Performances (Our Placement will be announced shortly after Prelim Awards if we move on)
10:00 p.m. – Finals Awards (Full Band Retreat)
We may wear uniforms at retreat depending on our performance block. After Retreat immediately load bus, trailers, and depart
1:45 a.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.
What you need to bring: your uniform, gloves, shoes, black socks, black athletic shorts, your band shirt, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, sabres, money for concessions, clothes to change into etc. It may be cold so you may want to bring sweatshirt, pants, and jackets as well. It will also be quite a while from departing the school till your first meal, and possibly after your last till we return. You may want to bring some snacks for the bus.
This performance will be at Blue Springs South High School in Blue Springs, MO. Spectator entry is $10.00. This price is for both prelims and finals. Booster organization will provide a meal and snack for the students late in the afternoon, and early evening. Meal times could fluctuate due to performance schedule in finals.
