Members of the Neosho high school band participated in district solos  and ensembles on Saturday, March 6 at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. The students did a fantastic job especially considering the festival was held more than a month earlier than normal. We have seen growth in the number of students participating in the event and a steady increase in the number of "1" ratings (which sends the students to the University of Missouri—Columbia for state festival in May.) Last year we took 9 instrumental events to state, and this year that number has climbed to 13. Congratulations to all the students who participated.
